The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has named a strong squad for the Rising Stars Asia Cup, set to begin on November 14 in Qatar.
BCB announced the team on Tuesday (November 4), appointing Akbar Ali as captain. The squad features several experienced performers, including Mahidul Islam Ankon, Yasir Ali Rabbi, Abu Hider Rony and Mritunjoy Chowdhury. Emerging talents such as Jisan Alam, Ariful Islam, Jawad Abrar and Meherab Hasan Ohin have also earned spots.
Bangladesh’s ‘A’ team has been placed in a competitive group alongside Hong Kong, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka. Akbar’s side will play on November 15, 17 and 19.
The tournament’s two semifinals are scheduled for November 21, followed by the final on November 23. All matches will be played in Doha, Qatar.
