Ahead of the upcoming national parliamentary election, the National Citizens’ Party (NCP) has formed a Central Election Steering Committee to lead its election preparations.
The announcement came Tuesday (November 4) through a statement signed by the party’s Convener Md. Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain.
According to the statement, the committee has been formed to oversee the party’s overall preparation for the 2026 national election — including candidate selection, field-level coordination, legal and administrative procedures, media and campaign operations, as well as training and monitoring activities.
NCP’s Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwary has been appointed head of the committee, while the party’s Senior Joint Member Secretary Dr. Tasnim Zara will serve as the committee’s secretary.
Other members of the newly formed committee include Ariful Islam Adeep, Mahbub Alam Mahir, Khaled Saifullah, Ehtesham Haque, Advocate Abdullah Al Amin, Alauddin Mohammad, Advocate Zahirul Islam Musa, Advocate Humayra Noor, Saifullah Haider, and Advocate Md. Tariqul Islam.
