Bangladesh reported zero dengue-related deaths today (Friday, 7 November), according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room.
The DGHS update states that 488 new dengue patients were admitted to hospitals nationwide in the last 24 hours. The division-wise breakdown is as follows:
Barishal Division: 58 patients
Chattogram Division: 66 patients
Dhaka Division (outside city corporations): 84 patients
Dhaka North City Corporation: 189 patients
Dhaka South City Corporation: 45 patients
Mymensingh Division (outside city corporation): 46 patients
During the same period, 578 patients across the country were discharged from hospitals. With this, a total of 72,966 dengue patients have recovered so far this year.
Since January, 76,514 people have been hospitalized with dengue nationwide. The total number of dengue fatalities this year stands at 307.
