National Film Award–winning singer Ankhi Alamgir, known for her solo tracks and frequent stage performances, has been keeping busy across various entertainment circles.
On Friday morning (31 October), Ankhi expressed her frustration and anger in a Facebook post.
“I’m extremely angry and irritated,” she wrote. “I’m angry because I’m tired of the drama and acting from certain people around me. They think everyone is foolish, and blinded by overconfidence, they spin stories, create drama, and put on performances. I won’t even get into the cruelty and the deceit.”
Explaining the source of her irritation, she continued, “I’m irritated with myself. I didn’t need to understand so much. I used to pick up on everything just by listening and observing. But with age and experience, I can now sense anger, jealousy, and lies — I can smell them.”
Expressing her desire to break free from double standards, Ankhi wrote, “What a magical mess this is. I want freedom from hypocrisy. I want freedom from this smell. I want a quiet, free, peaceful life now. Believe me — I deserve far more than you can imagine.”
Ankhi Alamgir’s most recent release is the duet “Prem Byapari,” featuring singer Pulak Adhikary, which came out about a month ago.
